On the second-level of our backyard, we have a tree.
Two years ago, Sophie and me started our Treehouse project – to extend the treehouse, add a wall to the front of it, replace rotting floorboards and secure it more. We did this – and all was well.
Last weekend we decided to renovate it again – this time, we are older, have more resources (sort of) and plans.
The land slopes gently downwards, and the tree is at the top on the side. We have plans to fix the floor again, build a fence to a side of the tree which will extend to the boundary fence, creating a private backyard for the treehouse. We also want to extend the size of it, create more walls, make a trapdoor and fence which leads to the ground under the tree (a way into the private area), repair the boundry fence, and so much more.
So far, we have built a path, cleaned up the hedge, removed half of the floor, collected some wood (but we need more), started cleaning up the future ‘private backyard’ and removed alot of dirt.
I’ll try to get some photos and post them soon – but in the meantime, I better get back to it!
